Starting on October 1, 2015, FASA @ LCVA will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for our organization - and the more items we have the more money we can raise, so we're asking for your help.

The Folk Art Society has won three awards in the Virginia Professional Communicators 2015 Contest:

  • First Place - Folk Art Messenger, for magazine, newsletter or non-newspaper, for non-profit, governmental or educational publications.
  • Second Place - for the Columbus Conference brochure, and Honorable Mention - for the website,, in the same category.
  • The First Place winner will go on to compete in the National Federation of Presswomen contest later in the summer.

The Folk Art Messenger won Honorable Mention in the National Federation of Presswomen Contest July 2015.
