Hotel and Transportation


Rooms have been reserved for October 18-22, 2017, at the conference headquarters, Hotel Santa Fe and Hacienda, 1501 Paseo de Peralta, Santa Fe, NM 87501. The special nightly rate for the FASA conference is $159 plus tax, single or double. The rate can be extended before and/or after the conference when making reservations. Book early, as the number of rooms in this block is extremely limited, and room availability cannot be guaranteed. The Folk Art Society will neither handle nor be responsible for hotel reservations, which must be made directly with the hotel, using a credit card to guarantee. Note: Resort fees have been waived.

Transportation Information

The closest airport is Albuquerque International Airport. Transportation is available from the airport to and from the hotel by Sandia Shuttle Express. Fees are $30 one way and $55 round trip, each. Reservations can be made by calling 1-888-775-5696 or 1-505-474-5696. The website is:
On-site self-parking at the hotel is free. FASA is providing bus transportation from the hotel to all outside events for registrants of the conference. A variety of restaurants and shops is located within walking distance of the hotel.

For those driving their own cars to events, the ticket price will be the same as for those riding the buses. [VERY IMPORTANT: Please notify the leaders if you are NOT riding the bus.] Tickets and registration badges are REQUIRED for admission to all events of the conference.
