The Folk Art Messenger wins awards – 2024
The Virginia Professional Communicators Contest awarded the Folk Art Messenger #113 First Place in 2024. This issue went on to the National Federation of Press Women Contest in 2024, where it won First Place in the nation for a magazine published in the category non-profit, which includes museums and university publications.
The obituary for artist Jim Harley won First Place in the Virginia contest and then went to the National contest where it won Third Place for obituaries. We appreciate the work of our designer John Hoar for his creative and inspiring designs that were mainly responsible for these amazing awards.
